Hi! My name is Mandy Dugas and I am the author of the book Healthy Food, Healthy Home, Healthy Life. Do you believe that as we age our bodies become less…alive? We get sick more often, we gain weight easier and our bodies will become fragile and week?
I used to.
I started my journey to health 6 years ago when I became aware of how food really affects our bodies. I learned that by eating a plant based, whole foods diet my body will not only be healthy but it will start healing old ailments too! whole foods like vegetables, fruit, nuts and seeds, whole grains, fermented foods, legumes, lentils and herbs.
I wrote Healthy Food, Healthy Home, Healthy Life to help motivate you to take all the steps you need towards better health. Every body is so different from the next, but I believe that by filling our life with living whole foods and by keeping an excited positive frame of mind, that you will become nourished!
Your immune system will start to heal and thrive and you will gain amazing, real energy to help you through those busy days, and best of all, you will be that alive person you always knew you were, deep down! Your creative side will return in full bloom!

I need to share my store with you as wel. I am just like any other regular mom who tries to prepare healthy food for their family. I have decided to go the extra mile to make sure that I feel fabulous and that my kids feel just as great as I do. I also think its great when parents teach their kids about how beneficial food from nature truly is! Then not only do the respect the food on their plate more, but they also are more willing to eat every last veggie!
All of our lives have been transformed.
Before I was healthy I was alwasy stressed. Stressed about money, time, work, and my health. I wasn’t motivated. I had many issues with my body, and I was only 25! I knew they were going to get worse if I didn’t make a change. I was so down on myself. I did not love myself.
All it took was a bit of inspiration and my whole life changed. I took baby steps each month, incorporating new veggies, new fruit, new whole foods that made me feel ALIVE again!
I have given myself the gift of feeling amazing and I know you can too!
There is also nothing more rewarding then seeing your children thrive in good health!
Over these last years I have come across other inspiring people who keep me motivated to be my best. People like Rich Roll, Brendan Brazier, Ron Garner, Alicia Silverstone, Melissa Ambrosini and more! I am so grateful more people are out there sharing their story with us!
All of my recipes are made with nutritioius ingredients that will give us happy bodies. In the book I cover recipes on snacks, brunch, salads, drinks, main courses and desserts. All of the recipes are free of gluten, dairy, and refined sugar.
